Andy Murray celebrates New Year drinking alcohol!
Andy Murray had quite a funny Monday. In the morning the British player took a helicopter ride over the North Stradbroke Island in the Queensland region, as part of the Brisbane International promotion. The former world No. 1 enjoyed it: 'I’ve been in them a few times before but normally over cities..There’s amazing views up there. We’re normally doing things to help the tournaments, so this is definitely a little different to most things we do', said Murray. 'I had kangaroo for the first time in my life today. I certainly wouldn’t have tried it when I was younger. It was pretty good.'
Murray was there with his coach Jamie Delgado, who was not as calm as Andy: 'He was a bit worried in the beginning. I think he thought it was going to be a bit bumpy. I brought some spare underpants for him, he needed that.'
In the evening of Monday Murray celebrated the New Year apparently drinking alcohol. 'It has been a great year', the British player wrote on his Instagram account. He will make his comeback to the competition on Tuesday facing the local hero James Duckworth.
Meanwhile, following his first-round win in Brisbane on Monday, Milos Raonic said: 'It was a great start for me, a great way to finish off 2018 and hopefully it will lead to better things in 2019. I hope I can continue to play some good tennis, continue to improve like I have over the last couple of weeks and stay strong and fit to give myself the best chance on court.'
