Roger Federer: 'I am intrigued to find out what Stefanos Tsitsipas has got'

Roger Federer feels satisfied with his straight-set win over Frances Tiafoe at the Hopman Cup in Perth. The Swiss prevailed 6-4 6-1 and in press conference he said: 'It was a different type of match. Frances got a lot of power, the court can play quite quick especially if you protect your serve well, in which we both did in the first set. We both got to patient and he helped me a little bit to win that first set and then the second set his level dropped and I was able to mantain it.'

Federer faced Cameron Norrie on Saturday, then Tiafoe on Tuesday and Stefanos Tsitsipas next on Thursday. 'It's been a great fun playing a right doublehander backhand, lefty and then also a righty, and now a one hander backhand', the Swiss admitted. 'I've seen a bit of all the different types of players from the Tour really. I am here this week and I am excited about it, I have never played Stefanos in the past, he has had a wonderful year and I am intrigued to find out what he has got, so we will see what's gonna be like.'
