Tsitsipas: I beat Roger Federer but I need to do more

Stefanos Tsitsipas is motivated to achieve more success in the future. The world no. 12 feels he still has a lot of things to achieve after defeating Roger Federer at the Australian Open fourth round. Speaking in a press conference at the Rotterdam Open, Tsitsipas said: "I want more, the journey continues, it's nice to beat one of your idols, but something more needs to be there."

Tsitsipas loves the country: "There are much worse countries, ahah. No, Netherlands is really a good country. I could live here. Travelling makes me relaxed and know myself better."

The dancer, TV presenter and fan Jan Kooijman praised Tsitsipas's mentality and talent. "He is an artist. Total. He is able to head into the court with a great mind. Over the last two years everybody knew who he is," said Kooijman.

In the first round at the ABN Amro Open in Rotterdam, the Greek player is playing Damir Dzumhur. The Bosnian has a 0-3 win-to-loss record for 2019, and his last win came against Tsitsipas at the 2018 Rolex Paris Masters. Tsitsipas who has 10-3 win-to-loss record for 2019 is the third seed in Rotterdam this week, behind Kei Nishikori and Karen Khachanov who are the top-two seeds in the event this year. Both played their respective openers on Tuesday. Nishikori, the world no. 7 won his first round against Pierre-Hugues Herbert in three sets, while the world no. 11 Khachanov lost to Dutch wildcard Tallon Griekspoor in three sets.
