Jamie Murray reacts to losing Murray Trophy doubles final

British doubles specialist Jamie Murray admits he is disappointing for failing to win it all at the inaugural Murray Trophy but insists that it has been an amazing week of tennis at the Glasgow Challenger. 

Murray, 33, and his Australian partner John-Patrick Smith fell just short of winning the Murray Trophy as Belgian Ruben Bemelmans and Germany's Daniel Masur came from a set down to stun the No. 1 seeds in the final 4-6 6-3 10-8. 

Murray, who was one of the organizers of the event, said post-match, per the BBC: "It's been an amazing week of tennis.

"I wanted to give people the chance to come out and watch tennis in Scotland and get to experience a live professional tennis event.

"I'm disappointed to lose the final but the guys played well, came back strong in the second set and held their nerve well in the tie-break. It was a good level match."

Interestingly, Murray and Smith won a total of five points more than Bemelmans and Masur as the top seeds collected 66 points, while the eventual champions won 61 points in the final.
