ATP Rankings: Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal lead unchanged list
The updated ATP rankings list delivered no significant changes in the leading positions, with everything in the top-15 standing as it was seven days ago. After winning the seventh Australian Open crown, Novak Djokovic is still the undisputed leader of the ATP ranking list, spending the 238th week on the ATP throne and trailing 30 to Jimmy Connors who is the next player he will catch. Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev and Juan Martin del Potro stayed there were last Monday and Kevin Anderson will also skip this week's action, withdrawing from New York with an elbow injury.
Roger Federer will make a return in Dubai and Kei Nishikori is the best-ranked player who will chase points in the current week, leading Rotterdam draw ahead of Karen Khachanov. The Austrian Dominic Thiem is in Buenos Aires while John Isner headlines New York field, seeking much-needed points after a slow start of the year. Marin Cilic decided to withdraw from Rotterdam and he could leave the top-10 for the first time since October 2016 if Karen Khachanov or Stefanos Tsitsipas win the title. Nikoloz Basilashvili is back inside the top-20, replacing Lucas Pouille who failed to defend Montpellier title, also skipping Rotterdam as well.
There are no new players in the top-30 while an in-form Pierre-Hugues Herbert cracks the top-40 for the first time in a career after reaching the final in Montpellier. Marton Fucsovics, the beaten finalist in Sofia, gained nine positions, making solid progress together with Matteo Berrettini and Guido Pella. The Czech veteran Tomas Berdych, Pablo Cuevas and Federico Delbonis enjoyed a great week in terms of ranking but the mover of the week is undoubtedly the Cordoba champion Juan Ignacio Londero who had no ATP wins before the last week!
