Boris Becker: I wouldn't rule out seeing Andy Murray on court again
Former world No. 1 Boris Becker thinks there is a chance we could see Andy Murray in action at the Queen's Club or Wimbledon this year.
Murray, 31, underwent his second hip surgery at the end of January after losing to Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut in five sets in the Australian Open first round.
During an emotional pre-tournament press conference at Melbourne Park, the Scot said he would love to be able to call it a career at Wimbledon but admitted that the Australian Open could be his last tournament.
Three-time Grand Slam Murray may not be fit to play during this year's grass season but he hasn't ruled out returning to tennis in the future.
Former world No. 1 Murray is a record five-time Queen's champion and also has two Wimbledon titles in his collection.
"If the rehab goes well, I think there is a small window that he (Murray) might be able to be fit enough for Queens or Wimbledon. I hope so. But more importantly he did it to get his quality of life back. That is most important," Becker said, per The Daily Mail.
"he is a smart guy. He will not play if he has not chance or if he cannot run. The base of his performance is his physicality. I think it will be patient now, do the rehab and let's see when May comes around if he is hitting a tennis ball.
"That is the ultimate moment when we all find out. I wouldn't rule it out seeing Andy Murray again."
