Not sure if Naomi Osaka is as great as Serena Williams physically - Expert
Eurosport commentator Karol Stopa commented on Naomi Osaka's potential. The Japanese player already won two Majors in a row, last year's US Open and this year's Australian Open, and she aims to achieve more success in the future. Interviewed by sport.pl, Stopa said: "Osaka, despite her young age, is already very strong mentally. She showed it in the recent final in Melbourne. Just a few women would go through such a situation. They usually waste a chance ending up losing the match. And Osaka calmed down and managed to regroup."
Will Osaka be as successful as the 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams? "I am not sure if she is as amazing as Serena in fitness. The American is like Michael Jordan. If she had a leg injury or if she was pregnant, she would not manage to compete. I would not make such a risky sentence. I think she has more personality, even if she is very close to Serena Williams.'
Stopa added: "She will definitely play tennis for a long time. I see very solid basics on her and, most of all, people who drive her. Sascha Bajjn put Serena Williams's team in Osaka's. It led to great results. Osaka's career is set to be very interesting. Obviously, there are some weaknesses in her game, but she really looks good.
