ATP Miami - Tuesday Schedule: Roger Federer faces Medvedev

A very packed Tuesday is waiting for us in Miami. The defending champion John Isner and Kyle Edmund will open the schedule, facing each other for the third time in career. They are tied on 1-all in the head to head meetings as Isner won at the 2016 French Open and Edmund took a revenge in the same year at the US Open. After that, Su-Wei Hsieh will face Anett Kontaveit.

The last match of the day session will feature Novak Djokovic and Roberto Bautista Agut. The Spaniard often made life complicated to the Serb, and he managed to beat Djokovic for the first time on the eighth meeting at this year's Doha in a stunning three-set semifinal match. Bautista Agut is coming from a win over Fabio Fognini, while Djokovic went through Federico Delbonis in three sets. At night Petra Kvitova will play against Ashleigh Barty, then Roger Federer faces Daniil Medvedev. The Swiss leads head to head meetings 2-0 having won both matches last year, in a three-set Shanghai second round and straight-set semifinal in Basel. On the Grandstand Felix-Auger Aliassime faces Nikoloz Basilashvili, followed by Borna Coric and Nick Kyrgios. The Australian won at 2016 Estoril and last year's Cincinnati, while the Croat prevailed at 2016 Cincinnati. Kevin Anderson plays against Jordan Thompson.

During the match against Krajinovic, the Serb took the ball and tossed it over the net. Federer smiled a bit. "I was laughing because I hit, like, probably three perfect shanks, and I ended up winning the point that way. I don't know. Yeah, I like when players also show emotions, you know, like Filip did on that instance. And me, I'm smiling just because I thought it was sort of somewhat of a weird, strange, ridiculous point, you know, that I got very lucky to win somehow. So, yeah, we're not robots, you know. It was good to see."
