Cameron Norrie recalls college days, speaks on his pro tennis experience

Rising British star Cameron Norrie has revealed what he misses most about college tennis and what he loves most about playing professional tennis.

The 23-year-old left the Texas Christian University (TCU) after finishing his junior year in 2017.

The Briton had a smooth transition from college to professional tennis, having reached four Challenger finals in 2017.

Norrie quickly improved his ranking as he was a regular member of the ATP level events last year.

The Briton made three ATP semi-finals last year before finishing runner-up in Auckland at the beginning of this season.

Norrie, now ranked at No. 55 in the world, reached his career-high ranking of No. 48 last.month.

On the road it's kind of by yourself and you kind of have your own little team," Norrie exclusively told the US Men's Clay Court Championships.

"What I love most about playing tennis professionally I think it's just you are around good people the whole time, it's a very healthy lifestyle and you get to see a bunch of places while doing the job."

Unfortunately for Norrie, his Houston main draw debut campaign didn't go as planned.

After a first round bye, third-seeded Norrie lost to wildcard Janko Tipsarevic in the round-of-16.
