American tennis player Jared Donaldson has undergone a right knee surgery.
The American has played only three main draw events and one qualifying event this season.
Underwent right knee surgery yesterday. Thanks to Dr. Mark Safran and the @SU_SportsMed staff for taking such great care of me. Looking forward to starting rehab in the coming weeks. pic.twitter.com/ZVMbKCSPGV

Donaldson, 22, opened his 2019 campaign at the Delray Beach Open in February, where he was beaten in the first round.
The 22-year-old then had back-to-back round two showings at the Indian Wells Challenger and Indian Wells Masters respectively.
The American lost to world No. 2 Rafael Nadal at the Indian Wells Masters.
Donaldson, who has plummeted to No. 236 in the world, last played at the Miami Masters, where he was beaten in his qualifying opener.
The American was bothered by a knee issue for quite some time as he was also forced to miss the last two months of the 2018 season.
The 22-year-old's last tournament of the 2018 season was the Toronto Masters, where he picked up a first round exit.
Donaldson was making a notable progress on the tour before the injury stopped his rise.
The American achieved his career-high ranking of No. 48 in the world in 2018 March.
It remains to be seen when will Donaldson return to action.
