Week 22: Will Rafael Nadal win his 12th French Open?

Paris is ready to become the sporting capital for the upcoming fortnight. The 129th edition of the French Open is on us and all the great protagonist of the season will be ready to do battle on the fiery clay-courts in Bois de Boulogne.

The big stars of ATP and WTA Tour will be in Paris: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev, Stan Wawrinka, Kei Nishikori, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Fabio Fognini, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Serena Williams, Simona Halep, Naomi Osaka, Petra Kvitova, Angelique Kerber, Karolina Pliskova, Caroline Wozniacki, Garbine Muguruza, Sloan Stephens and Elina Svitolina. Maria Sharapova, Kevin Anderson, Nick Kyrgios, Milos Raonic and Tomas Berdych will not be playing in the second Grand Slam of the season.

The Parisian Major is as always one of the most glamorous, fascinating, historical, important and famous sporting events in the world, and this year there will also be some news, such as the retractable roof works on the Court Philippe Chatrier. In short, it will be two intense weeks for media, insiders, fans and crowds, all ready to enjoy a show that will take us to the heart of the season.

This week there will also be the ATP Challenger event Internazionali di Tennis Città di Vicenza, in Vicenza, Italy. It is a clay-courts tournament of the Challenger 80 category.
