The South African player, who is making his comeback to the competition this week at Queen's after missing the clay season due to an elbow injury, said: “I’ve made two finals (2017 US Open against Rafael Nadal and 2018 Wimbledon against Novak Djokovic) and I’m up against guys who have won over 30 grand slams between them. Anderson also backed gay players to come out: "I try not to get too political. My wife Kelsey and I did our first charity event for two causes last year and we’ll be doing it again. The first was for a local animal shelter in Delray Beach in Florida where we live and where we adopted our dog, Lady Kady, from. Anderson will open his campaign at Queen's against British player Cameron Norrie.
