Marin Cilic adds Wayne Ferreira to his coaching staff for grass season
Croatian tennis star Marin Cilic has added former 15-time ATP champion Wayne Ferreira to his coaching staff for the grass season as the world No. 15 is aiming to have a big grass campaign.
Cilic, ranked at No. 15 in the world, will kick off his collaboration with South- African Ferreira at the Queen's Club -- where he is set to defend the title he earned last year after beating world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the final.
Fifth-seeded Cilic will open his title defence against rising Chilean star Christian Garin, against whom he has no previous meetings.
Ferreira, the new coach of Cilic, made it way at the Queen's Club in 1992 and also made the Wimbledon quarterfinal in 1994.
"I am happy to share with you all that Wayne Ferreira will be joining my team for the grass season. Looking forward to working together," Cilic announced on Twitter.
2017 Wimbledon runner-up Cilic will certainly be extremely motivated to make another deep run at The All England Club and make amends for last year's disappointing second round loss suffered to Argentina's Guido Pella.
