Pablo Andujar reacts to reaching Gstaad semifinal

Spanish tennis veteran Pablo Andujar didn't hide his happiness after reaching the Gstaad semifinal. 

No. 7 seed Andujar saw off third-seeded Dusan Lajovic 7-6 (4) 6-4 in the Gstaad quarterfinal on Friday. 

The Spaniard made it all the way on the clay courts of Gstaad in 2014. 

The 33-year-old is now bidding to once again make a splash in Gstaad in his first appearance at the Swiss event since 2015. 

"There were difficult moments physically and I was lucky with the break points in the first set,” Andujar said post-match, as revealed on the ATP website. “I am very happy to be in the semi-finals. I am happy to have so many good memories here and the people are great. I don’t have much power as some players, so the altitude helps me."

Andujar blew an early break and a set point in the 12th game but kept his focus to win the first set tie-break. 

The Spaniard then broke Umag champion Lajovic in the seventh game of the second set and held on to his serve to seal the win. 

Andujar Will fight against fellow compatriot Albert Ramos-Vinolas for a place in the Gstaad final.
