Roger Federer looked nervous at the beginning against Harris - Wilander

On Eurosport, the former world No. 1 Mats Wilander commented on Roger Federer's four-set win over Lloyd Harris in the Wimbledon first round. The Swede said: "He looked a little nervous at the beginning with Harris having a big game, a big serve. But then, of course, Roger worked it out and got into it more in the second set, things started rolling and he looked good in the end. I was a little surprised he didn’t come to the net more, but his opponent has a huge forehand from the back and hits the ball really hard. On Rafael Nadal defeating Yuichi Sugita in straight sets, Tim Henman said: "He comes in to this off the back of his 12th French Open title and he hasn't played a grass tournament so it'll be interesting to see how he gets on today because he has struggled a little bit in round one at Wimbledon the past few years."

Nadal himself said: “I won the French. I won Roland Garros. Now let’s see. Of course, it’s better to be here with that victory and confidence. But it’s a different story to adjusting. I need to compete and spend time on court. Of course, I can get that in practice, but you need to win matches. That’s it.”
