Novak Djokovic reveals what he would change in tennis
If Novak Djokovic could change anything in tennis, what would it be? Sport Klub asked this question to the Serb, who replied: "Calendar, I would plan tournaments in a different way. I would give players more rest. I think it has no sense to have such a long break after the Australian Open. I would put Melbourne probably in March and I would give a two-month or two month-and-a-half off season. I would also make players have more time between the other three Slams so that French Open, Wimbledon and US Open are not that close."
Djokovic then switched into a phylosophy mood: "One of those is probably the power of the moment. I did not understand what it meant until the last years. Be there, do not think about what happened or will happen, focus your attention on the present. It seems easy, but it's the biggest task for a man, especially in today's world, anything I do, there are million of distractions. Products, advertisement, informations, mobile phone and television. The challenge here is to keep calm and see life in a smart way, not to react but to create. The other one is about the commitment. The person who gives, gets back in life. It has a lot of sense and it is connected to all social levels and behaviour."
Who would Djokovic like to meet for the first time? "Michael Jordan, then Jim Carrey and Kianu Reeves - the two different actors. Looking at their sayings, behaviour and lifestyle, it seems they understand life slightly different. I would like to meet them and speak."
The Belgrade native beat Roberto Carballes Baena in the US Open first round.
