Bjorn Borg visits Rafa Nadal Academy, impressed by the experience

In an interview as quoted by Efe, the 11-time Grand Slam winner Bjorn Borg commented on how it felt like to win the Laver Cup with Team Europe. Borg felt flattered to spend time with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Speaking from the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor where his son Leo is doing a training programme, the Swede said: "It was a pleasure to coach again the European team and Rafa, who did very well as always. Now on the way back to Manacor I stopped by Geneva and seeing his museum and all that he achieved in life was very nice."

On how it felt to be nearer to Nadal's 12 French Open trophies, Borg added: "I am in his zone, but also in mine."

Meanwhile, Patrick Mouratoglou spoke about his Academy near Nice: "The tennis school programme is one of the things I am the proudest of. We have children coming from all around the world, we understand that staying far away from the families is tough. That's why we built a compound where, after training sessions, they can communicate with their families again. That's good for the kids. We also created a Foundation that helps younger talents who cannot afford training sessions or air flights tickets to play in tournaments out of Europe. I have an eccellente team. They are all prepared people who I 100 per cent trust. There are two choices that you can make when you have to pick the people who can help you: taking worse people than you to make your figure raise higher or pick the best ones, which was my choice."
