France's Lucas Pouille: Playing Olympics at home is my dream

French tennis star Lucas Pouille hopes to represent France at the 2024 Paris Olympics as he insists that "would mean the world" to him.

Pouille, who turned professional in 2012, has yet to make his Olympic debut as he wasn't one of the French players that participated at either the 2012 London Olympics or 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Pouille, ranked at No. 24 in the world, is currently the third highest-ranked French player and he is expected to make his Olympic debut this year in Tokyo.

"It would mean the world to me! Playing (the) Olympics at home is a dream! Pouille  underlined during his question & answer session on Twitter.

Meanwhile, former world No. 10 Pouille has yet to kick off his 2020 campaign as he is still recovering from an elbow injury.

The Frenchman suffered a blow at the beginning of the season when he announced he was forced to skip the ATP Cup, Adelaide International and Australian Open.

The 25-year-old Frenchman is expected to start his season in February -- most probably at the end of month in Acapulco.
