Novak Djokovic Parts Ways with Strategy Coach Craig O' Shannessy

Tennis - World No. 2 Novak Djokovic has parted ways with strategy analyst Craig O'Shannessy after the pair worked together for three years. The split had come at the end of the 2019 season but has only been confirmed by either party now.

O'Shannessy posted an update on his Twitter account where he says - "It’s been a brilliant three years working with Novak, winning four Slams & dominating the game as world No 1. We are moving in different directions in 2020. Massive love to #nolefam - you guys rock!"

On his website, O' Shannessy describes himself as "the world leader in teaching and analyzing tennis strategy. Craig specializes in this specific area of the sport, creating his online Brain Game Tennis business to teach players, coaches and fans the patterns of play, and winning percentages that dominate our sport." He is known to provide analytical inputs on the play of opponents and strategies to beat them.

There has been no comment on the same from the Djokovic camp on the split. During the time that they worked together, Djokovic won four Grand Slam titles - Wimbledon and the US Open in 2018 and Australian Open and Wimbledon in 2019.

Djokovic is the No. 2 seed in Melbourne where he is aiming to win his eighth Australian Open title and the 17th Grand Slam title of his career.
