Stefanos Tsitsipas to play doubles with Nenad Zimonjic in Rotterdam

Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas and former doubles world No. 1 Nenad Zimonjic have signed up to play doubles together in Rotterdam, per Michal Samulski.

Tsitsipas, 21, and 43-year-old Zimonjic will debut as a team when they step out on the indoor-hard courts of Rotterdam as they have no previous team appearances.

Tsitsipas, ranked at No. 6 in the world, is focused on the singles but occasionally plays doubles.

The 21-year-old has won four titles in singles so far in his career but he has yet to win a doubles title.

The Greek will be aiming to win his maiden doubles title in Rotterdam when he teams up with one of the most accomplished active doubles players, Zimonjic.

Zimonjic, a three-time Grand Slam champion in men's doubles and five-time Grand Slam champion in mixed doubles, owns 54 doubles titles in his rich collection.

The 43-year-old Serb hasn't played yet this season but he captained Serbia to winning the inaugural ATP Cup.

It remains to be seen how far can Tsitsipas and Zimonjic get in Rotterdam next month.
