What makes Caroline Wozniacki's mindset special?

Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki will not use her tennis rackets on a court as a WTA player anymore. She let go of that possibility after concluding her 14-year-long career in January: her 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 loss to Ons Jabeur in the third round of the Australian Open was her last professional match.

Champion of the 2018 AO, the 29-year-old has many plans to develop in the future, and she is thrilled by all the opportunity that she will come across.

Her excitement may or may not be shared by her fans - a lot of whom will miss her and her game greatly - but one thing is sure: Wozniacki will have no trouble finding something new to be really good at thanks to her champion mindset.

Her determination and hard work are visible by spectators and supporters, and Tennis World USA talked to a former member of her team to get a closer point of view of the Dane’s attitude.

“I didn’t work with her for a year or two years,” a former member of her team explained, clarifying that whatever impression he got of her was only defined in a short period. “I was with her for the AO 2018, the one she won. Her mindset was really... She has very good work ethics. That’s one of the reasons she’s good. She always is digging. She was always… Almost like a man. If someone told her run ten miles, she would run twelve miles.”

Wozniacki is set to play an exhibition match with Serena Williams, on May 18, to officially seal her career. The event will take place at the Royal Arena, in Denmark.
