Diego Schwartzman and Paulo Dybala team up to collect funds for the Red Cross

‘La ChamPlay Solidaria.’ Such is the name that ATP No. 13 Diego Schwartzman and Juventus star Paulo Dybala have given to their joined videogame initiative whose goal is to collect funds for the Argentinian Red Cross to face the coronavirus pandemic.

The event - which is presented with the slogan “Your idols playing as you’ve never seen them playing before” - is a solidar tournament of Play Fifa 20 that will be held on April 18 and 19 and covered by DirecTV Sports and TyC Sports.

According to the Liga de Videojuegos Profesional (LVP), “The ChamPlay will take place on April 18 and 19 (3:00 p.m. Argentina time / 8:00 p.m. Spanish time) and will consist of two FIFA 20 direct elimination tournaments: the first, which will include Dybala and which will be played on the 18th, will be played by eight celebrities with a presence in Europe; and the second, led by Schwartzman and to be played on the 19th, will feature personalities with a presence in Latin America. The two tournaments can be followed live on the television channels TyC Sports and DirecTV, as well as on the Facebook channels of the two captains, Dybala and Schwartzman, and on the Twitch platform through the LVP Argentina channel.”

The 14 other sports celebrities who will join the game are being slowly revealed. Will they all be from the tennis and soccer world? So far, Argentinian soccer star Sergio Kun Aguero has been confirmed.

Both Schwartzman and Dybala promoted the event on their social media, explaining that “more details [will be disclosed] in the next days.”
