Nick Kyrgios on his record against Next Gen 'Don’t forget about Kygs man'

Aussie tennis star Nick Kyrgios posted an update on his Instagram reminding everyone that he should be considered among those in line to dethrone the Big Three in men's tennis - Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

Most people consider Daniil Medvedev, Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas as the players likely to break the stranglehold of the Big Three in men's tennis.

24 year old Medvedev reached the US Open final last year, losing to Nadal in five sets.

23 year old Zverev reached the semi-final of the Australian Open earlier this year, where 26 year old Thiem reached the final and went down to Novak Djokovic in five sets.

21 year old Tsitsipas won the ATP Finals at the end of last season.

An Instagram page posted Kyrgios’ record against the trio with the caption: “A lot of people talk. about Next Gen and forget about Kyrgios.”

“Kyrgios vs. Next Gen is pretty one-sided though so far.”

Kyrgios is 4-3 against Zverev, 2-0 against Tsitsipas, 0-1 against Thiem and 2-0 against Medvedev.

Kyrgios shared the post on his Instagram story and said, “Don’t forget about Kygs man" accompanied with three laughing emojis.

The Australian is currently ranked No. 40 in the world and is 1-6 against Federer, 2-0 against Djokovic, and is 3-5 against Nadal.

Kyrgios has reached the quarterfinals of the 2014 Wimbledon Championships and  the quarterfinals of the 2015 Australian Open. He is also only the third player, after Dominik Hrbaty and Lleyton Hewitt, to have beaten Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic the first time he played each of them.
