The Italian Tennis Championships was a success. Now there will be the second event of the MEF Tennis Tour, which will be played in Parugia, in Umbria (Italy). The itinerant event organized by Marcello Marchesini, president of the Tennis Club Todi 1971, is taking place in maximum safety conditions, for players, staff, media and crowds.

Lorenzo Sonego against Andrea Arnaboldi will be the men's final of the Italian Tennis Championships, the first tennis event after the Italian lockdown. On the clay-courts of the Tennis Club Todi 1971 the seed no.1 Lorenzo Sonego defeated Lorenzo Giustino,  number 153 of the ATP ranking for 6-4, 7-6. Seed no. 7 Andrea Arnaboldi awaits him in the final. Arnaboldi, who overcame in just over an hour and for 6-1, 6-2 Andrea Vavassori. Arnaboldi, currently number 282 of the ATP ranking, reached the quarterfinals in the challengers of Bangkok and Bergamo before the lockdown.

In the women's singles the final will be between seed no. 1 and seed no. Jasmine Paolini and Martina Trevisan, friends and teammates in the Fed Cup Italian team. In the head-to-head Paolini leads 2-1. In the semifinal Paolini faced the wild card Camilla Rosatello, winning by 6-2, 6-3. Trevisan is in the final thanks to the success in the challenge against Elisabetta Cocciaretto, seed no. 3: she defeated the young Cocciaretto with a score of 7-5, 6-4.

The new event of the MEF Tennis Tour and a great news

This was the first stage of the event, which took place in Todi. In the second stage of the MEF Tennis Tour, in Perugia, there will be a big news: the men and women's draws will also be open to foreigners. In the men's singles Lorenzo Sonego is the seed no.1 while Pablo Andujar will be the seed no.2 In the women's singles Liudmila Samsonova will be the seed no. 1 while Elisabetta Cocciaretto will be seed no.2.
