Roger Federer's kids take part in a tennis camp in Switzerland

Tennis - Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer and his wife recently took their kids to a tennis camp in Switzerland.

In the pictures seen, the Federer kids are seen training with other kids and look quite happy to be in the camp. 

Federer has spoken about his family life in recent interviews, saying that if his wife was not able to manage their kids on her own, he would have retired by now and credited her with helping him being able to continue and focus on his career. During the lockdown and his recent recovery from surgery, he has been at home in Switzerland with his family. 

Camp organizer Philippe Bruchez told the BLICK, "Roger and his family stayed with us for a week. The four children took part in tennis training practically every day. They are like other children their age. That is why you are here. Here they are normal boys and girls. "

In a recent interview to Miami Living Magazine, Federer said, "We’ve been chasing around after the kids the best we can on our own, but I think this strange time has given us a chance to reflect and take stock of what really matters, which is family, friends, health, and happiness."

In an earlier interview, Federer had said he was not sure if he wanted his kids to play tennis since he knew how hard it was to make it on the tour and also because he did not want to spend more number of years on the tour but added that he would be happy to support them in whatever they choose."

Federer is married to former WTA player Mirka Federer, whom he met while they were competing for Switzerland at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Mirka retired from the tour in 2002 due to a foot injury. The couple were married in April 2009. In 2009, the couple had their first set of identical twins (girls) and in 2014, they had another pair of identical twins (this time boys).

Roger Federer, who turns 39 years old on 8th August, underwent a surgery for his knee in February and then underwent another procedure in June for the same injury. Due to the injury, he has said that he will not play again this year and will return to the circuit in 2021. Federer has won 20 Grand Slam singles titles in his career, more than any other player in men's tennis history. He is currently ranked No. 4 in the world.
