Spider-Man takes his girlfriend to the fairway

Tom Holland, better known as one of the most recent actors to portray the coveted role of Spider-Man and his English actress girlfriend, Nadia Parkes, who is best known for her roles in Doctor Who and The Spanish Princess made their relationship official on Instagram. Who would ever have thought a golf course can be this romantic?

The Spider-Man actor shared a photo of Nadia playing golf with him. At the same time, she posted a shot of him on the green on her own Instagram—the first time Holland has ever appeared on Parkes’ social media.

The Spider-Man star, 24, shared a photo of Parkes on Instagram Sunday during their outing on a golf course. "How stunning.... are those golf clubs," Holland joked in his caption.

Tom left a comment under Nadia’s photo of him, “Fairway to heaven”, and another about wearing red on the golf course on Sundays like Tiger Woods, saying “Tiger don’t be mad. I always wear red on a Sunday.”

Among those to comment on Holland’s photo of Parkes were Charlie Puth and Jake Gyllenhaal, who wrote: “Love golf. Great game.”

There was some controversy over Nadia’s outfit as jeans are not considered proper golf clothing and tank tops are not really allowed. There are some golf courses that are so strictly traditional that a short tennis skirt will get you a side-eye.

Things are more relaxed these days for sure but there are still certain private clubs that get real prickly where women’s bodies are concerned.

Spider-man loves golf

Amid the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, Holland has been enjoying rounds of his favorite sport, golf.

Tom is apparently pretty golf obsessed. According to those in the know he has a smooth swing, good balance, nice tempo and can drive a ball 300 yards.

The Spiderman-actor revealed in an interview with GQ a while ago that his father taught him the game at a young age and then his love for the sport just grew from there.

Holland also recounted getting his first hole-in-one and having nobody around to witness it, therefore none of his friends or family believed him. It's implied that this is a larger metaphor concerning celebrity, achievement, and popularity; if Tom Holland gets a hole-in-one and nobody is on the green to see it, did it really happen?

Either way, sharing a sport with the superhero Spiderman sure does say something about golf!
