Roger Federer named the third Highest Paid Celebrity in the World
Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer has been named the third highest paid celebrity in the world as per the Forbes list of Top 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities.
As per the Forbes report, the top 100 celebrities earned a cumulative $6.1 billion before taxes and fees, which was a $200 million drop from last year.
Kylie Jenner is at No. 1 on the list with earnings of $590 million after she sold 51% of Kylie Cosmetics to publicly traded Coty, Inc. in January 2019 for $600 million.
Kanye West is at No. 2 with earnings of around $170 million, a large part of which came from his Yeezy sneakers deal with Adidas.
Athletes take the next three spots on the list with Roger Federer at No. 3 with earnings of $106 million, soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo at No. 4 with $105 million, and fellow soccer player Lionel Messi at No. 5 with $104 million.
Roger Federer comes third on Forbes list of Top 100 Highest-Paid CelebritiesAlthough Federer has not played a tournament since the Australian Open in January, he was named the highest earning athlete for the period, mostly due to his large portfolio of endorsements. One of his biggest deals is the $300 million 10-year deal he signed with Uniqlo in 2018.
The other tennis players on the list include World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who is at No. 68 with earnings of $44.6 million, and World No. 2 Rafael Nadal, who is at No. 80 with earnings of $40 million.
Naomi Osaka, who is the highest-paid female athlete in the world, came in at No. 90 with earnings of $37.4 million this year while 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, who is second on the list of highest-paid female athletes,with earnings of $36 million, was at No. 98 in the list.

Roger Federer has won 20 Grand Slam singles titles - the most by any player in men's tennis history and is currently ranked No. 4 in the world. He is recovering from a knee injury and has said he would return to the tour next year.
