'Roger Federer was kind of the main guy that...', says Australian star

After Roland Garros, also the Balearic golf championship. Rafael Nadal does not stop in this season finale, which will see him busy on the indoor courts of Paris Bercy and London to try to conquer two tournaments that are still missing from his palmarés. First, however, he will pick up the bag with the golf clubs to participate in a professional tournament in the Balearics, precisely in the municipality of Calvià, on the meadows of Golf Maioris. It starts on Saturday 24 October and closes on Monday 26 October. There are 60 participants in the tournament, of which 37 are amateurs (with a handicap of less than 11.4) and 23 professionals. Rafa actually has a respectable handicap (a system that allows amateurs / non-professionals to compete with pros) (+0.3), practically at the level of the professionals themselves. During the month of September he played the Capdepera tournament, finishing in fourth position. The Calvià tournament will give points for the World Amateur Golf Ranking and will be played according to the “stroke play scratch individual” mode, with 18 holes per day. Despite not being on the best of terms with Rafael Nadal, Nick Kyrgios showered immense praise on the Mallorcan.

Kyrgios on Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal

“I mean I wasn't surprised when I saw Rafael Nadal pretty much easing through the draw at the French Open,” Nick Kyrgios continued. “That's his backyard, he loves playing in there. Honestly my opinion - I don't think we are ever gonna see anything like that ever again in the sport. Someone so dominant on one surface. He's right there with the greatest of all time.” After his record 13th title win and 20th Grand Slam win at French Open 2020, Rafa confirmed his participation at Paris Masters 2020. With Djokovic and Federer both choosing not to take part in the tournament, Nadal is a definite favourite to win. A win at Paris Masters 2020 will mark Nadal's first title at the event and his 36th ATP 1000 Masters win - a record he will share with Djokovic. Nadal will compete at the indoor hard-court tournament, where he owns a 19-5 record, for the eighth time. The World No. 2 has made at least the quarter-finals in each of his seven previous appearances. In his 2007 debut, Nadal made the final (l. to Nalbandian). The legendary lefty just won his 13th Roland Garros title, tying Roger Federer's mark for most Grand Slam triumphs with 20. Nadal is 22-4 this season with two titles. The Spaniard did not lose a set en route to earning the crown in Acapulco or at Roland Garros.
