Delray Beach with a crowd of 2000 people?

Delray Beach with a crowd of 2000 people? The new ATP season will start with the ATP 250 in Antalya and the ATP 2050 in Delray Beach. Delray Beach will take place from  4 to 13 January despite 17-23 February, due to the Australian Open moved to the early days of February. In Delray Beach there should be Milos Raonic, Christian Garìn John Isner Isner, Kei Nishikori, and Vasek Pospisil.

Delray Beach tournament executive director John Butler said: "As soon as the Australian Open was postponed to February 8, we immediately knew we had no choice. We decided to grit our teeth. The ATP wanted to give players opportunities and Florida is a great place to do it right now, so we thought let's do it.

The first challenge to face was the health and safety protocols and the Covid test because it was new for us and we are talking about many things like on-site testing, creating a bubble with the hotel, transport from airport to hotel, from hotel to tournament, then back and forth between tournament and hotel.

Test costs, we are talking about hundreds and hundreds of tests over the course of 10-12 days. It's tough, it's going to be tough and it will take a couple of years to get back on par. We're limiting ourselves to 2,000 crowd per session.

We are currently implementing the highest standards. One row no and one yes, four seats occupied and four no, staggered, so that no one blocks anyone's view. We are not obliged to do this, under the rules in Florida, but we are doing it to ensure the safety of the crowd."

How will the Australian Open 2021 accommodate the crowd?

25% seems to be a very low figure but in reality knowing the size of the Melbourne Park complex there will still be thousands of people to attend the matches and at the time of the Coronavirus this was not at all obvious.

Tickets will be sold individually for each zone with a maximum of 6 people buying tickets together, obviously ensuring a safe distance between people. Each zone will have its own entrance, its own runners and will give access to certain spaces.

The first area will gather around the Rod Laver Arena where the food kiosks will also be accessible and is the only area where you can watch live the semi-finals and finals of the tournament. The second area will allow access to the Margaret Court Arena and other outdoor courts, there will also be the area with the big screen where spectators can watch what happens on the center.

The third area will instead be around the John Cain Arena (would be the formerly known as Hisense Arena or Melbourne Arena where the outdoor courts are located and where most of the tennis players train.
