Wimbledon 2021: Frances Tiafoe surprises Tsitsipas with a SUPER BACK-HAND!
In the first round of the men's singles at Wimbledon 2021, Frances Tiafoe eliminates the Roland Garros finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas for 6-4 6-4 6-3 in two hours and two minutes, with the Greek protagonist of a decidedly negative performance. This is also the first win against a Top 5 for the American. Tsitsipas thus loses for the second time in a row in the first round of Wimbledon. The Greek never managed to breakkate, missing all seven opportunities he had.
Tsitsipas was very ineffective with his backhand, excellent, as we have seen, on slower surfaces, in difficulty on grass-courts. Tiafoe dominated the match with the second serve, condemning his opponent to be eliminated.
Notable, in the 3rd set on the score of 0-1, a fantastic long line backhand pulled by Tiafoe after a very entertaining exchange, which you can see below.
