Alexander Zverev: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal will come back even stronger

World No. 4 Alexander Zverev labeled Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer as the greatest players of all time.

Unfortunately, fans won't be able to see all of the Big Three in action at the US Open as Nadal and Federer are done for the season.

Last week, Federer announced a knee surgery while Nadal remains bothered by a foot injury.

Federer turned 40 this month, Nadal is 35 but Zverev is confident both of them will have successful comebacks.

"Nadal, Federer and Djokovic are the greatest of all time. Obviously they are not finished yet. They are all going to still be playing tennis. I think after the injury comeback, they're going to come back even stronger," Zverev said, per We Are Tennis.

Zverev one of the top favorites to win the US Open

Zverev captured his maiden gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and also won it all at the Cincinnati Masters last week.

Zverev will now be aiming to win his third consecutive title at the US Open.

Djokovic is the top favorite to win the US Open but Zverev -- who beat the Serb en route to winning the Tokyo Olympics -- will have something to say.

Zverev's confidence is sky-high at the moment and Andrey Rublev felt it on his skin in Sunday's final at the Cincinnati Masters.

Zverev, who was seeded at No. 3, saw off Rublev 6-2 6-3 in the Cincinnati Masters final.

“The first win I ever had on these courts was on Wednesday, four days ago, and now I have my first title here,” Zverev said in his on-court interview. “It has been an incredible week, a lot of great matches. It is an incredible feeling going into the US Open."

Zverev admitted he is now extremely looking forward to the US Open.

“I don’t want to get ahead of myself yet. I won the gold medal and just won a Masters, which I am very happy about and am looking forward to New York," Zverev said.
