Nick Kyrgios should be world No. 1 or 2, says Zurutuza
The Mexico Tennis member Raul Zurutuza, who is the Acapulco Tournament Director, commented in an interview about Nick Kyrgios saying French Open sucks compared to Wimbledon. "I have to be very respectful for what players day. He may be too honest that could have hidden it but now he is our champion and what happened outside the court, it is his problem, not ours. At a personal level, I think it was unfortunate. We did everything we had to do and we did well. The tournament was all a success, one of the best, but it was a disrespectful quote. Everyone is responsible for what he says. For me, he is a big talent. Kyrgios should be one or two in the world, but these are rare personalities, from the sports point of view it's a sadness that it happens. He is a talent you would like to see in a different way. You miss John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, this kind of players. Sometimes tennis needs that but I do not know if Kyrgios does the right thing."
"The truth is that we keep hoping for del Potro. We are discussing with his agent, it's 50-50. He has been playing pretty well, his knee seems to be okay but you will have to wait. We are doing a great job for the Los Cabos Open. We will definitely have a great tournament, it's different than the Acapulco one where you see great tennis. We are focused on that, Acapulco is in a waiting mode and we will speed things up at the end of August. I hope to have Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev back."
