Serena Williams is motivated because she wants to break Court record -Coach

In an interview, Patrick Mouratoglou commented on Serena Williams' attempt to be at her best level again. The American reached two Grand Slam finals and cameback on the top ten rankings since her motherhood. "Being able to comeback at the age of 37 years after having a son and reaching two Grand Slam finals is absolutely amazing. I was particularly hit by her effort to accomplish the goal. She is motivated because she still feels able to win important titles and because she does not have the last record: most Grand Slam titles in the tennis history which is still held by Margaret Court. When she approaches a tournament, she has always the ambition to win. For that, she needs to be perfect physically", said Mouratoglou.

On how the Next Generation players approach the French Open on the men's side, he added: "They face a lot of pressure because the three big champions - Rafa, Roger and Nicola - are around 30 years old and many people are afraid about the future. That's not me because I find the group of younger players exciting and promising both in terms of tennis and personality. They are all very different, they all have charisma and they deliver a superb tennis, so I am convinced they will make us enjoy in the next years. Stefanos Tsitsipas, I noticed him when he was 16 years old. I loved him immediately because I saw him as a big player. He has an immense potential, I think he can improve in many areas", concluded Mouratoglou.
