Roger Federer is ready for the French Open, says Rosset

In an interview to Le Temps the former Olympic Games winner, Marc Rosset commented on the Roger Federer's comeback to clay prior to the French Open. Rosset said: "I think it's amazing. We are speaking of a guy who had not played on clay for two years. He comes back and reaches two Masters 1000 quarter-finals. Many players would be happy to achieve those results. It's clear that they are just on the margin compared to other results. But they show how he can suit to other surfaces. I think he is ready for the French Open. Can he win it? If conditions are fast, then it would be an advantage for Federer. Stan Wawrinka has been playing very well. I saw his matches in Madrid and Rome. Against Kei Nishikori he played great, very solid and he also hit great backhands. The match against Nadal at night was strange. The most important thing for him was to come back on tour after the injury and compete again. He is a seeded player in Majors again which was not the case, for example, in Australia."

"Federer can reach the second week with his ranking position and game level. I would also like Stan Wawrinka to get through some rounds. Everything depends on the draw but in Madrid, he showed he is not afraid."
