Nick Kyrgios: 'Events make money with me around'

Through his official Twitter account, Nick Kyrgios commented on the Australian legend Patrick Rafter saying that the Canberra that he does not know why the 24-year-old has not been suspended from the Tour yet.

Kyrgios believes he is a driving force for the system and through a short post, he commented: "Probably because everywhere I play the stadiums are sold out, and the event makes money with me around? Not surprised rafter has commented on this topic, the guy loves hanging fellow Aussies out to dry. Enjoy staying relevant champ."

Kyrgios will play the Laver Cup this week against Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal among the others. Then he will move to Zhuhai where he will pair up with his close friend Matt Reid. After the US Open, he stayed in the United States training at Crandon Park in Miami. He is definitely missing Australia, and as he is also committed to Beijing, Shanghai and Vienna, Paris, he may not return there until November. He is also the top-ranked Australian in the country's team for the ATP Cup. 

Multiple tournament directors over the recent times said that they would love to have Kyrgios in the event, as he makes buzz and adds popularity to the competition.

Alexander Zverev is one of the players competing in the Laver Cup. The Hamburg native hinted that his legal dispute with his former agent Patricio Apey may distract him: "To play tennis really well, your life needs to be okay. But I do not want to mention the dispute and I hope everything gets solved."
