Nick Kyrgios: 'Laver Cup is the week I look forward to out of whole year'

It's no secret that Nick Kyrgios loves the team events. The Australian player always gives his best when he plays the Davis Cup or Laver Cup, and he already said he is looking forward to the ATP Cup in January 2020.

Kyrgios will now try to beat Rafael Nadal on Sunday in order to try to help the Team World on their attempt to win the trophy for the first time: “I’m just out there trying to do what’s best for my team", said the Canberra native. "If that’s me watching them play, standing out there for practice, I’m going to do whatever they need. The Laver Cup is the week I look forward to out of the whole year. Meanwhile Denis Shapovalov spoke about how it feels to have John McEnroe next to him on the bench: "It's great to have him alongside with me. He has so much experience, and he's such a champion of the game. Any kind of advice he gives me, it's a privilege to hear. It's just great to kind of have him and Patrick alongside me this week and just kind of helping me out and giving me small tips but small tips that hopefully I can take with me to the future. Yeah, I think he was very helpful on the bench today. You know, he was really keeping me calm and keeping me going and fighting. We were kind of problem-solving together. It was really, you know, fun to kind of talk through the match with him."
