I never thought Federer could have had two MPs against Djokovic - McEnroe

The seven-time Grand Slam winner John McEnroe praised Roger Federer. Speaking to Tages Anzeiger, the American said: "He is unbelievable. He had two match points against Novak in the Wimbledon final. I never thought it would have been possible, I admit it."

How hard was for Federer not to convert two match points? "I would like to know it but you can also look at it from another perspective: if you asked Roger if he would have rather wasted two match points in the first round or in the final, he would have picked the second option."

On Nick Kyrgios, McEnroe said: "He is a good guy, great teammate, great player, he loves the stage."

On how he sees the future of Laver Cup once Federer stops playing, McEnroe concluded: "It should definitely be part of tennis and continue to grow. Any other thing would be a shame for the crowd and players. This kind of competitions is good for tennis. I always liked to be part of a team, I often played in doubles and in the Davis Cup. Some players thought they would have not liked those events and then they realized at the LaverCup that there are much more excitement and happiness here than in other tournaments. The name should be kept too. Laver was an idol for millions."

Nadal said: "I am still driven by the same passion for tennis. Since I know I am not eternal, I try to appreciate every moment. I go my way, I work a lot. My Camp exactly needs how much it needs to be pushed to the limit. I try to be competitive all the time. My motivation is always full."
