Roger Federer speaks about post career plans, mentions Laver Cup and...

Roger Federer was asked where the Laver Cup will be once his career ends. The Basel native said: "I do not know to what extent I will be involved in the organization. At the moment I try to give good advice, both from a player's and organizer's point of view. But I do it for friendship. I can also help press, sponsors, players and fans because I think I can be in one of those positions. But it's clear the Laver Cup will always be close to me. The idea is to see all those old friends and tennis legends. Besides the Laver Cup, I am also thinking about continuing to play some exhibitions, to help or train younger players of the Swiss tennis. That's why I would like to stay in tennis. I also have my Foundation and family. My wife and four children will enjoy travelling together. And when we are at home, we want to support our children at school and have a more normal life."

Team Europe's captain Bjorn Borg spoke about the Team World being stronger in doubles: "Our records in the first two years was a win vs five losses. The only guys who won were Federer and Nadal in Prague. But we spoke a lot and we started training. So we are facing the issue. I have a little idea about who will play, but I will not tell you anything."

On Friday, Federer will play doubles with Alexander Zverev. The duo will face Team World's Denis Shapovalov and Jack Sock.
