Anna Lena Gronefeld Weds; Will Play Doubles with Vania King in 2019
Tennis - Doubles specialist Anna-Lena Groenefeld has married her long-time partner Ingo Herzgerodt over the weekend in Hanover. The 33-year-old decided to celebrate the wedding with her close family in Hanover and will skip her usual pre-season training in Florida. Gronefeld says, "It's not always that easy with my job to find a time window in which everything fits, but I already had my vacation in mid-November. "
Gronefeld continues to train in Hanover as she embarks on her 16th year on the professional circuit. She will partner American Vania King in the doubles next season. "We have always been a solid team, then Vania has focused more on the individual career, but the friendship has remained," Gronefeld adds that the duo's goal is to qualify for the season finale in Singapore.
