Dennis Novak: Dominic Thiem's dedication to game is what makes him special

Austrian tennis player Dennis Novak thinks that good friend Dominic Thiem's dedication to the game is what makes the 2018 French Open runner-up special.

Novak is a part of the group which has been training in Tenerife since the beginning of December.

Thiem, his brother Moritz, Novak, David Goffin, Jan-Lennard Struff, Ernests Gulbis and Sebastian Ofner have been putting in the work together in Tenerife this offseason.

MyTennis did an interview with the group.

Thiem, ranked at No. 8 in the world, is known as one of the hardest workers on the tour.

The 25-year-old has set high goals for himself as many believe that he has the talent to become a Grand Slam champion and world No. 1 in the future.

Thiem, a former world No. 4, will be eyeing to win his maiden Masters 1000 and Grand Slam title next season.

The 25-year-old came close to winning a maiden Masters 1000 and Grand Slam title this past season.

The Austrian ended runner-up at the Madrid Masters before he ended runner-up at the French Open.

Novak wasn't the only one praising Thiem as Struff's coach Carsten Arriens did the same.

Thiem is happy with how the things have been going in Tenerife so far.
