Grigor Dimitrov joins Rafael Nadal and Zverev to play ATP 500 event in...

Grigor Dimitrov has released his schedule for the first three months of the 2019 season. The world No. 19 will start his year at the Brisbane International where last year he reached the semifinals losing to the eventual champion Nick Kyrgios. After that, he will compete at the Sydney Fast 4 Tennis Showdown joining Rafael Nadal, Kyrgios himself and Milos Raonic. He will end his DownUnder campaign at the Australian Open where, in 2018, he lost to Kyle Edmund in the quarter-finals.

February will be a busy month for the 27-year-old, who is committed to the ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam defending the final he lost to the Swiss Roger Federer, who will not play. After that, he will move to Mexico to play the Abierto Telcel for the fourth time in his career. In 2014 Acapulco Dimitrov won his first career-title defeating Kevin Anderson in the final. In 2015 he lost to Janko Tipsarevic in the second round, while in 2016 he was beaten by the eventual champion Dominic Thiem. In Acapulco Dimitrov joins a star-stunned field that also features Rafael Nadal, John Isner, Stan Wawrinka and Alexander Zverev. This year in that week Dimitrov played the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championship losing to Malek Jaziri in the opening round. In March the Haskovo native will play the first two Masters 1000s of the season, Indian Wells and Miami.
