McEnroe on chance to see Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal, Djokovic in Senior Tour

In an interview during the ATP Champions Tour event in London, John McEnroe commented on the possibility of seeing the "Big Three" competing in the ATP Senior Tour post their retirement. 'Roger (Federer) I can see playing. I don’t now about Rafa (Nadal) because his might be more of a physical thing with what has happened to him. And Novak (Djokovic) I don’t know - it’s hard to say. I hope so but they are re-writing the rule book as we speak. They might be 40 and over. Roger is 37. 35 used to be the number for sort of joining the Champions of Senior store. But now I don’t know what it is. They threw it out of the window. Part of the issue os trying to come up with a viable criteria,' said McEnroe.

Meanwhile another legend, the six-time Grand Slam winner Boris Becker, commented on Germany possibly hosting a Masters 1000: 'It's difficult because there are just nine Masters tournaments in the world. But bringing such event in Germany needs to be a goal. At International level, I try to bring a Masters Tournament to Germany. It's the next big step. The ATP Finals in Germany would be the final glory.'

Becker believes that Federer and Nadal do not have many successes left in the late stage of their career. 'You have to say farewell to this era,' Becker told Tennis Magazin. 'It could go well in 2019, but not so often. I would not bet against Nadal on clay and Federer on hard. But the dominance has ended.'
