Naomi Osaka's coach Sascha Bajin receives ultimate award!

The WTA Coach of the Year Award got its first winner ever. It's the Naomi Osaka's coach Sascha Bajin. They started working together just one year ago and this year the Japanese star captured the two biggest titles in her career, first at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and then the US Open. Through his official Twitter account, Bajin wrote: 'Aahhhh! I’m speechless and turning a bit red. Such an honour. It wouldn’t have happened without my team around me who did amazing work this whole year and Naomi who had the biggest part in all this. Easy to be a good coach when you have a great student. Thanks to you all.'

Peachy Kellmeyer Player Service Award, in honour of the work done for players, was instead given to Bethanie Mattek Sands, who said: 'I’m very honoured and thrilled to receive this award from my friends and peers on tour. I love giving back to the sport that has given me so much in my life and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact, both for these ladies playing now and the future WTA girls coming up."
