Novak Djokovic can achieve 2019 Calendar Grand Slam, says Borna Coric

Borna Coric believes that the world No. 1 Novak Djokovic can achieve the Calendar Grand Slam in 2019, it means winning all the four Majors in the same season. The Serb did something similar between 2015 and 2016 winning Wimbledon, US Open, Australian Open and French Open in a consecutive way. Asked by Sky Sport about who will win the four Majors in 2019, Coric replied: 'That's a very tough question. I need to say me obviously! Winning a Grand Slam is one of the toughest goals in tennis. I believe Novak can win all four. Rafa in three. Roger on the grass and at the Australian Open because it's very fast. Andy Murray if he is healthy, Stan also is there. And of course Zverev.'

Coric also recalled his first Wimbledon memory: 'I do not remember anything to be honest because I lost in the first round, 3-0. Very very easy. I left the tournament early to go on holidays. I remember Anderson vs Isner match, I watched a little bit. On my vacation, I try not to watch too much tennis. My coach always tells me to watch it in order to improve but I do not agree with him a lot (laughter). I think that with the fifth-set tie-break on 12-all, it will be a little different.'

On the 2019 season, Coric's coach Riccardo Piatti added: 'Rafa (Nadal) will be most competitive on clay. Novak (Djokovic) will be the one to beat in all four Majors. Roger (Federer) at Wimbledon. And then it's open. I expect Borna to be ready and do something good. Last year's goal was to make him understand that he was very competitive in the Masters 1000s, now we will try to do the same for the Slams.'
