Australian Open day 10 recap: Serena Williams stunned by Karolina Pliskova
The tenth day in Melbourne and, once again, the Australian Open 2019 give us a big surprise. Karolina Pliskova, on the edge of the abyss (she was on the score of 1-5 in the third set) was able to eliminate Serena Williams after a thrilling last set. In the semi-final also Naomi Osaka, Novak Djokovic and Lucas Pouille.
Elina Svitolina, despite the elimination in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, can console herself with her new love, Gael Monfils, who supported her in her box. In a post-match interview in Melbourne, she said: "He's there for me, he supports me, and I'm there for him too. We understand each other perfectly, it's great".
Bob Bryan could represent a new hope for Andy Murray. The US champion of men's doubles has indeed had a problem similar to that of the Scot, and he was able to solve it: "My case is an option for him. I'm the only tennis player playing with a metal hip. Now Andy is watching me, wondering how I feel after the matches and the training sessions. He is trying to evaluate how long it would take if this procedure could be an option, I try to support him".
