Mouratoglou comments on Stefanos Tsitsipas's hilarious coaching warning

Speaking on Eurosport Stefanos Tsitsipas's coach Patrick Mouratoglou commented on the hilarious on-court coaching Stefanos Tsitsipas got during his quarter-final match against Roberto Bautista Agut. Mouratoglou, who coached Serena Williams during the controversial 2018 US Open final, said: 'I did not say a word! It's his father (Apostolos). It was not a big deal. He took a break at the end of the set, he was not drinking at the changeover twice in a row, because he forgot. I know it's crazy and we were like: "He needs to drink". We told him: "Do not forget to drink". And he got a coaching violation. He is so much in the match he does not realize and he does not think about the basic things.'

Mouratoglou added: 'He gets the moment in the match, he is the ultimate competitor for me, and that's why he is where he is now.'

In a press conference the Athens native was asked if he was surprised with his performances: 'A little bit, yeah. You have a bigger picture of your opponent when he's going to come out. You think he's going to do some extraordinary things. But Roberto was playing great today. He showed some good tennis the entire week. But in the end, it's completely different of what I can picture it before going on the court, how you can imagine how your opponent is going to play. What I realised recently, your opponent feels the exact same thing you feel. It's a pretty balanced match. The difference is who is going to press more and be more aggressive than the other. But I did surprise a little bit myself with my performance, yeah.'
