A stunning Tennis With The Stars edition will take place at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells on March 5, 2019. Stefanos Tsitsipas joined Eugenie Bouchard and Frances Tiafoe to play the exhibition event that is taking place for the fifth time. Tsitsipas has been the star of the week so far, having defeated Roger Federer at the Australian Open.
Kimberly Arena, Event Director, said: "We love having young, rising stars like Stefanos at our event. Tennis With The Stars presented by the BNP Paribas Open is a great opportunity to showcase the incredible talent and personality of these young players in a fun, intimate setting.”
The 5th Annual Tennis With The Stars presented by the BNP Paribas Open features top ATP and WTA stars competing with and against amateur players, hosted at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa. Tsitsipas will play alongside fellow rising star Frances Tiafoe and Canadian Eugenie Bouchard. Additional star players and celebrity announcements will be made soon.
After his quarter-final win over Roberto Bautista Agut, Tsitsipas said: ' I did want to concentrate on my next match. I knew that win against Federer was important, played a huge role in my image, like who I am. But I knew that the biggest challenge was today's match, that I can prove myself once again.'
After the Australian Open, Stefanos will compete in Montpellier next.
