'There are 100 reasons why Federer is the best player ever' - Thiem's coach
During a press conference call in Berlin hosted by the German Tennis Federation, Dominic Thiem's coach Gunter Bresnik commented on the tennis in general, starting from Roger Federer: 'There are 100 reasons why he is the best player ever', said Bresnik.
The 57-year-old also praised Alexander Zverev: 'He is a guarantee, I believe he will be the world No. 1 within five years. He is unstoppable.'
On his player Dominic Thiem's opening match loss to Pierre-Hugues Herbert at the Qatar Open in Doha, Bresnik said: 'We obviously didn't expect him to lose in the first round. In normal circumstances, Dominic will reach the semifinals. But ringing alarms do not get in play, I am relaxed.'
Federer is already in Melbourne for the Australian Open. Uniqlo is giving Federer fans a unique opportunity. For the second Grand Slam in a row, the Swiss player will hold a meet and greet session with the first 100 people in line at 3:00 PM on Wednesday January 9 at the Uniqlo Emporium.
Last year in August Federer met his fans, signed autographs and took pictures, released interviews in New York to the first 150 customers on a day.
