Wilander compares Murray's tears to the ones in Wimbledon final vs Federer
Through a video message for Eurosport the seven-time Grand Slam winner Mats Wilander praised Andy Murray's figuring spirit and attitude. Wilander said: 'Only future can tell, but he is gonna be missed. We know that Andy Murray analyses his game, his body, he works harder physically than I think any player in the history of the game and cannot compete due to his hip problem, so I think he is really done. He loves the sport, he loves to compete, we see the passion when he talks about his injury, the passion that he has for the sport and how he wants to really keep playing mentally and emotionally but physically he cannot do it. A lot of more people will find out more about Andy Murray's passion for the game. The tears came up when he lost the Wimbledon final to Roger Federer in 2012, the tears came up again when he announced his retirement. Andy Murray is gonna be loved and remembered for what he brought to the tennis court, which was passion.'
On Murray, through Twitter Borna Coric wrote: "One of my greatest memories from the court featured this guy. @andy_murray You are a true legend and it was an honour to share the court with you. Hope we will all see a strong last run from you."
Murray lost to Roberto Bautista Agut in the Australian Open first round and he may soon undergo a new hip surgery.
