France has tough Davis Cup group with Serbia and Japan - Grosjean
France's new Davis Cup team captain Sebastien Grosjean looks forward to being a part of the new event that will hold the finals from 18 to 24 November this year. Grosjean expects all the French players to give their best efforts. "It's a new format but it's still the Davis Cup, which already started for me with this draw in Madrid. I am looking forward to seeing how this competition will take place and I am very motivated for this 2019 Davis Cup," said Grosjean as quoted by FFT. "It's a very difficult group with the Serb Novak Djokovic, the world no. 1, and Japan with Kei Nishikori who is also one of the best players in the world. It will be about details. But we will see, the season is a long one. November month is still far away. We have a solid team with many players who can be part of the team. I expect to see the best teams at the top and it will be necessary to prepare to face these ties with Serbia and Japan."
On his team, Grosjean added: "They are all motivated even if the competition is far because it takes place in November. I already spoke about it with many of them and I will see them in Maeseille next week. They will be available if I call them. It's good. It's a great event and France is still France, so players will answer yes."
